Essex vs Kent Match Both Team Top Batsmen
Feroze Khushi and Daniel Lawrence haven’t been the best as an opening pair and have often failed to give the team a solid start. However, they will try and put their best foot forward here. Michael Pepper, Robin Das, and Paul Walter will come down in the middle order.
Opener Daniel Bell-Drummond has been a fantastic performer for Kent this season and is also their top-scorer with 407 runs. His partner, Tawanda Muyeye hasn’t been that free-flowing and will be hoping to get a big inning here. Similarly, middle-order batsmen Sam Billings and Jack Leaning haven’t been able to score big runs and that has cost a few matches to the team.
Essex vs Kent Match Both Team Top Team Bowlers
Each of them has played some good innings so far but the team will need them to play more consistently. Daniel Sams has been excellent as an all-rounder, scoring 232 runs and also picking up 18 wickets. He is the leading wicket-taker for Essex this season and will once again lead the pace attack for them along with Sam Cook and Shane Snater.
Simon Harmer and Michael Critchley have done a good job with the spin, picking up 28 wickets between them. Much of Essex’s success so far can be attributed to the bowlers.
On the other hand, Joe Denly and Jordan Cox have done decently well. In the bowling department, Michael Hogan and Grant Stewart have done an excellent job as far as picking up wickets is considered, but they have been a bit expensive. Wes Agar and Fred Klaassen haven’t played too many matches this season but are likely to play an important role going forward.
The spin department is a bit lacking though and George Linde is the only specialist spinner on the team.
