Sunrisers Hyderabad Squad 2023 – Sunrisers Hyderabad (stylized as SunRisers Hyderabad, abbreviated as SRH) is a licensed cricket team based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, which competes in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The franchise is owned by Kalanithi Maran of SUN Group and was formed in 2012 after Hyderabad-based Deccan Chargers was terminated by the IPL.
The team is currently coached by Brian Lara and managed by Aiden Markram. Their main ground is the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad which has a capacity of 55,000.
The team made its IPL debut in 2013 and qualified for the playoffs where they finished fourth. The Sunrisers won their first IPL title in the 2016 season by beating Royal Challengers Bangalore by eight points.
Sunrisers Hyderabad replaced the Deccan Chargers in 2012 and debuted in 2013. Following the bankruptcy of Deccan Chronicle, the franchise was taken over by Sun TV Network. The team was announced in Chennai on December 18, 2012.
The team is owned by Sun TV Network, which was awarded a five-year contract at 85.05 million rupees ($11 million) a year, a week after the Chargers ended due to chronic financial problems.
It belongs to the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). It is located on the eastern outskirts of Uppar and has a capacity of 55,000.
