Trent Rockets Squad 2023 – The Hundred is a professional franchise 100-ball cricket tournament comprising eight boys’ teams and eight girls’ teams based in major cities in England and Wales. The tournament is organized by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and will take place for the first time in July and August 2021.
Trent Rockets is a 100-ball basketball team based in Nottingham. The team represents the historic counties of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, and Leicestershire at the newly formed The Hundred, which will make its debut in the 2021 England and Wales cricket season. Both the boys’ and girls’ teams play at Bridge of Trent.
The announcement of a new eight-team men’s and women’s tournament for 2019 was not without controversy, with Virat Kohli among others criticizing the England and Wales Cricket Board for trying to move away from Kev Competitive Cricket, while others argue that the format, established and Complete T20 must conform to the format. However, the ECB decided that a special model was needed to attract more people.
In February 2021, it was announced that former Zimbabwean cricketer Andy Flower would become the first head coach of the men’s team, while former Yorkshire Women’s Sally Ann Briggs was appointed coach of the women’s group.
The top 100 draft picks were created in October 2019, when the Rockets announced Joe Root in the men’s and Natalie Sciver in the women’s. Alex Hales and Dawid Malan from England in the men’s team and Katherine Brunt joined Sciver in the women’s team.
